OUR CENTRE
The Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Middlefield was inaugurated on July 7th, 2000. With Swami’s wish, this centre was started with a few families to serve the communities in Scarborough North and Markham South. There was no Sai Centre in this vicinity, prior to the inauguration of the Middlefield Sai Centre.
The centre was started on a small scale. Initially, the congregation took place in a restaurant building, and within no time, with Swami’s grace, the Middlefield Centre moved to its very own unit at 80 Nashdene Rd. The Middlefield Sai Centre was the first centre in the Toronto area to have its own location. As the centre began to grow rapidly, Swami had also blessed the centre with a second unit, beside the first one. The inclusion of the second unit gave an opportunity for more children in the area to be privileged with Sri Sathya Sai Education Classes. For the first two years, the centre mainly focused on the construction and the basic organizing of the centre. With hard work and dedicated service the two units which were originally storage units, transformed into a place of peace and worship with all the necessary components. For the next few years, the centre worked towards registering itself as a charitable organization, which was successfully achieved in the year 2008.

Ever since, this Sai Centre, with Swami’s grace, continues to flourish under the hard work and devotion of its members.
