WHO IS SATHYA SAI BABA?
Sri Sathya Sai Baba was born in the village of Puttaparthi situated in Southern India on November 23, 1926. Sai Baba’s late mother and father, Easwaramma and Pedda Venkama Raju were blessed with a delightful young boy whom they named Sathyanarayana Raju.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s compassion for his mother was unconditional. Prior to dear Easwaramma’s passing, She asked of her son to fulfill three wishes which included building a hospital known today as the Super Specialty Hospital, a University and lastly, a well to provide clean drinking water.​
Throughout Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s youth, He demonstrated righteous actions and a loving nature to serve others. Sai Baba always lived by example in his thoughts, words and deeds. In His adolescence at the age of 14, Sai Baba left his home and He declared His need to reach devotees who sought his grace.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s residence was in Prashanthi Nilayam, an Abode of Peace. Sri Sathya Sai Baba is the avatar of beloved Shirdi Sai Baba who left his physical form in October 1918.
The presence of an avatar brings peace and harmony among different religions. One must understand the inner significance of all the rituals and traditions of the land and accept the basic unity of mankind.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba says, “There is only one religion; the religion of Love. There is only one language; the language of the Heart. There is only one race; the race of Humanity. There is only one God, and He is Omnipresent.”
These principles govern the basis of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s message to mankind.Truth, Love, Peace, Non-Violence and Right Conduct are the five human values that must manifest itself in the actions of society.
These values are the path through which one can achieve self-transformation.
